Dystopian Wars!

I treated myself over the holidays and bought the Britannia Naval Battle Group by Spartan Games for their new exciting game, Dystopian Wars. So far, they have released 4 factions (Briannia, Prussians, Federated States, and Blazing Sun) with more on the way! This game features naval, ground, and air combat in minute scale! This is what I was hoping Battlefront and Flames of War would deliver but never did. So far I have only painted the above Battleship and will post my aircraft carrier and bombers next! Hit the link above to see the amzing minis they are making.

Garage Gamer, Robert Hoppenrath (Hoppy) painted this amazing Eldar Farseer, whucha think?

It’s coming alive! I hit a speed bump, a big one actually…I decided to use green-stuff for the cobblestone fireplace/chimney and it’s taking forever to shape each stone, texture it, and attach. I’ll finish that so it looks equal but i’ll have to think of an alternative method for larger areas later. I wanted to add a first story to the inn, sort of a base made of stone as well. I might look into those plastic sheets with pre-stamped stones on them. Also, I wanted to add cobblestone pathways in the village.

Anyways, the inn is coming along ok, Ill add a bar inside for where the innkeeper would have been, perhaps with some shields hanging on the walls. A couple of half-haning doors in some of the rooms, some planks and ladders too, for sure. Oh, a sign for the Crooked Moon as well…no ideas yet for what this will look like. Thanks for looking.

Well,  Eric came over for an instruction in Space Hulk and handed me a can of whup-ass! We played the first mission in Games Workshop’s Space Hulk, Suicide Mission. The Space Marine player has one squad of 5 Blood Angels (Sergeant armed with a storm bolter and power sword, one Space Marine armed with a heavy flamer and power fist, and three Space Marines armed with a storm bolters and power fists. The Blood Angels win by firing the flamer at  any square in the Launch Control Room, in order to prevent any genestealers escaping via escape pods. In the pic above, Brother Ramirez makes a solo run towards the Control Room with some Genestealers fresh on his tail, no time to turn around and to confront his predators, he steadfastly keeps to his mission and scorches the Control Room with Promethium and achieves his goal! Did Brother Ramirez  manage to escape upon victory? (Click the pics for larger)
