It’s coming alive! I hit a speed bump, a big one actually…I decided to use green-stuff for the cobblestone fireplace/chimney and it’s taking forever to shape each stone, texture it, and attach. I’ll finish that so it looks equal but i’ll have to think of an alternative method for larger areas later. I wanted to add a first story to the inn, sort of a base made of stone as well. I might look into those plastic sheets with pre-stamped stones on them. Also, I wanted to add cobblestone pathways in the village.

Anyways, the inn is coming along ok, Ill add a bar inside for where the innkeeper would have been, perhaps with some shields hanging on the walls. A couple of half-haning doors in some of the rooms, some planks and ladders too, for sure. Oh, a sign for the Crooked Moon as well…no ideas yet for what this will look like. Thanks for looking.

I decided on the Crooked Moon as the Inn’s name, thank you to it’s author VINCE. Well, I hope this works, not much now, but you get the idea…I plan to add a fireplace and chimney (stone) and bunch of ladders and planks to connect the various floors and such. Maybe even a dilapidated bar and some broken bottles and barrels…anyone know where I can buy some mini bottles and barrels online?

Updated: Mordheim Inn

Well, since the last blog on the inn I have added a “second” floor or loft which will have a ladder since the comets shrapnel probably destroyed the stairwell…I added some hard wood flooring, wall paper, a window, a tile roof and exterior stucco. This is merely one room of the inn, I still plan to do the main center building and another 2 adjoining wings. Probably stone walls underneath and a stone fireplace and chimney as well.

A Vacant Inn…in Mordheim

Well, I’ve decided to cut my losses early and scrap the paper-card Mordheim terrain…if you care to hear why throw a comment. I started today on my Inn with the some foam board, coffee sticks, balsa wood, and cardboard for the first wing of the , um, Inn. Hmmm, what shall I name it? The Prancing Pony has already been taken…the Drunken Dwarf? Or is that insensitve? Didn’t the party in the Dragonlance novels frequent a particular Inn? I forget…Well, hopefully you guys can come up with a clever name, perhaps our next contest? Stay tuned as I post updated pics of the “Inn”.

Here is the WIP for Mordheim, whucha think? Heres what I have so far. I bought the PDF of this castle, printed on fine paper, then glued to card paper for strength. After constructing buildings I then starting ripping out the walls and roofs for that destruction weathered look. Eventually, I hope to have enough castle and interior village buildings (with requisite inn) to cover a 4’x4′ area…then we’ll have some amazing Mordheim games with objectives, storyline, and RPG! So get your gangs painted!
